Custom Framing
We can custom frame a wide range of artwork sizes. For online orders, size limits depend on the frame, mat and glazing selected. Larger or unusual pieces can be discussed with us directly, and some oversized work may be handled through our Christchurch studio.
Yes. You can enter the size of the artwork you already have, choose your preferred frame, mat and glazing, and we’ll make the frame to suit. If you’d rather discuss the piece first, you can also bring it into our Christchurch studio by arrangement.
Measure the actual width and height of your artwork in millimetres. Enter those dimensions when creating your frame online. We’ll calculate the finished frame size based on your selected mat, overlap and frame profile.
Yes. Our online framing system lets you select your frame style, mat width and glazing option before ordering. Available choices may vary depending on the size of your artwork and the framing configuration you select.
That’s fine. We can make custom frames to suit non-standard sizes. Enter the exact dimensions online where possible, or contact us if the piece is unusually large, deep, fragile or needs a more specialised framing approach.
Printing & Uploads
Yes. You can upload your own image, choose the print and framing options you want, and preview the result before ordering. You can also choose a print-only option if you don’t need a frame.
For best results, upload a high-quality JPEG or PNG file. Where supported, other common image formats may also be accepted by the uploader. Use the largest, highest-resolution version of your image you have available.
The uploader will help you assess whether your image has enough resolution for the print size you choose. For the best result, use the original high-resolution file rather than a screenshot or compressed copy. If you’re unsure, contact us before ordering and we can check the file for you.
For our online fine art printing, we use Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Gloss, a premium photographic paper chosen for strong detail, rich blacks and excellent tonal range. Other specialist papers may be available for selected studio or custom work.
Yes. You can order selected images as print only through the online system without adding a frame. Choose your print size and available paper option, then complete the order as a standalone print.
Frames, Mats & Glazing.
We offer a carefully selected range of contemporary frame mouldings in popular finishes including black, white and natural timber, along with other options suited to different artwork and interiors. Available choices may vary depending on the size and type of framing selected.
We offer a curated range of matboards in popular neutral tones, with standard widths designed to suit different artwork sizes. Online options are kept deliberately simple, while a wider selection of colours, finishes and specialist matboards is available for custom studio work.
Our online framing options include Standard 2 mm float glass, Conservation Clear, and Tru Vue UltraVue. Standard glass is included, while the premium options provide additional UV protection and, with UltraVue, significantly reduced reflections.
Conservation Clear is a premium glazing option designed to provide high UV protection while maintaining a clear view of the artwork. It’s a good choice for photographs, prints, certificates and other pieces where long-term protection from fading is important.
Tru Vue UltraVue is a premium anti-reflective glazing option designed to make the glass much less noticeable while still providing UV protection. It’s particularly well suited to detailed artwork, photographs and pieces displayed in rooms where reflections can be distracting.
Ordering, Shipping & Collection
Custom framing timeframes can vary depending on the size of the job, materials selected and current workload. Most standard orders are completed within a reasonable production window, while larger or more specialised projects may take longer. If you have a deadline, contact us before ordering and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
Yes. We ship framed orders throughout New Zealand, with rates varying by destination and whether the address is urban or rural. Larger or oversized pieces may require a custom freight quote.
Framed orders are carefully packed to help protect the frame, glazing and artwork during transit. Packaging is selected to suit the size and type of order, with additional protection used where required for larger or more fragile pieces.
Yes. Local collection is available from our Christchurch studio by arrangement. We’ll let you know when your order is ready and organise a suitable collection time.
Contact us as soon as possible and include clear photographs of the packaging and the damaged item. We’ll assess the issue and work with you to arrange the most appropriate replacement or resolution.

Yes. Trade or project pricing may be available for larger quantities, repeat work and suitable commercial or professional projects. Contact us with the scope of your project and we can discuss the most appropriate pricing and production options.
We use professional judgement when preparing images for print, including colour, tonality, contrast and sharpening. Final print quality also depends on the resolution, size and quality of the image file supplied, and printed colours may differ slightly from what you see on a phone or computer screen.
